Alright friends, instead of fashion Friday, we’re going to celebrate my birthday instead! Now I don’t normally celebrate my birthday because I have always had a fear of aging (I know,I know!). However, my boyfriend took it upon himself to plan 2 weeks worth of birthday activities for me! One being a fabulous dinner at Aodake, a sushi, steak, AND hibachi grill!Of course we started our hibachi dinner off with some sake! This one was called Hana-Awaka and was a sparkling sake and deeeeeeelicious.
We would have had our chef take a picture of us for you but he was too busy being a BA, so here’s a selfie of Jim and I instead (wish I had a better picture of my sweet make up for you guys!)
After receiving our sake, it was, of course, time for food! First up at a hibachi grill it always this mouth watering soup, I don’t know what the broth is made of, but it has mushrooms in it and tastes like heaven in your mouth.
My favorite part of all hibachi grills! The volcano of onion on fire! So pretty! These chefs are seriously talented people.
yum yum yum yuuum!
My lovely eating his yucky, slimy shrimp…okay maybe they weren’t yucky but they sure look the part!
After dinner, Jim took me to Metal Monkey Brewing co. for dessert. Not a chocolate cake kind of girl and he knows that! This is the best shot you folks are going to get of my birthday outfit! Can be found here on sale of course!
And who in their right mind would go to a brewery and not order the SpongeBob Squarepants themed beer?!
Festivities for my birthday do not end here friends! For my birthday, Jim got us tickets to the Zoo Brew at Brookfield Zoo so this Saturday we’ll be participating in a beer tasting with some hippos!
Sunday I have a mass birthday dinner with the family planned 🙂
Next Saturday, my fantastic boyfriend got us tickets to see AwolNation, a band I have been trying to see for TWO years now, but I won’t bore with with my unsuccessful details and instead boast about how awesome it will be next week!
Happy birthday to me and thanks for reading lovelies, have a great weekend!
xoxo, Simona and Indre
