L’OREAL foundation review

I love testing out new foundation, especially drugstore foundation! My husband and I were at Target the other day and I came across this foundation, and of course I had to try it out-went right into my cart. I have tried the L’OAREAL infallible matte foundation and find it to be a bit drying, which if you have really oily skin this would be perfect for you (I have combination skin). So when I saw that they now make it in a “pro-glow” formula I was really excited.

I wanted to try out this foundation for a couple of days before I wrote a blogpost about it. I must say, I am pleasantly surprised! For a drugstore foundation, I am really happy with the  results!

The consistency of this foundation is more on the runny side, which I have no problem if it’s a thick or runny formula. It goes on smoothly with no patches and sets fairly quickly. I did not think it oxidized on me, which was a plus. As far as coverage goes, it is more of a medium coverage-which I really liked! I also have it in the matte finish, and I found that one to be a bit more cake-y. This foundation will be perfect for the upcoming dryer months! I did set this with a setting powder, and it really stayed put throughout the whole day. Now, I haven’t tested it for the full 24 hours-but I would not recommend doing that haha!

Here is my skin before I applied the foundation. I must say, I am pretty happy with the way that it looks without any foundation or concealer! I try to take good care of it =) =). I don’t usually wear foundation on a daily basis, usually I will just wear some concealer and powder foundation. When there is a special event I will use foundation. I have noticed an improvement in my skin by not wearing foundation on a daily basis. Your skin needs to breathe, don’t cake it with foundation every single day!

I am pretty pleased with the way this foundation looks, I will definitely be grabbing for it! It evened out my skin without making it look cake-y or dry. I added some blush and bronzer to give my skin some more color.
